Latest Bug fixes (3-9-2000)
==============================================================================

1. Release 4.1.8.6 had problems with ACPI/APM on some Windows 98 installations
The problem was especially evident when the Bt878 shared an IRQ with another
device. This issue has been resolved.

2. A slow resource leak was reported. This problem has been resolved.

General
==============================================================================

Version 4.1 is the first official release of support for Fusion 95 cable-less
audio over the PCI bus and support for the QuartzSight camera. The driver has
been tested on Windows 95 and Windows 98. The driver presently defaults to
the cabled audio scenario.

New Features
==============================================================================

* Optimized for TV and QuartzSight camera performance
* Stereo audio, BTSC and FM radio over the PCI bus (MMX system required)
* DBX audio support* Bt848-style cabled audio is supported
* Breakout of tuner support into separate components
* Support for Intel's YUY2 CODEC
* Compatible with WaveTop 2.0 release

Bugs Fixed
==============================================================================
* QuartzSight update while capturing below 15fps in overlay mode
* Crash of Non MMX
* Excessive I2C activity when QuartzSight is not in use
* Still frame capture using Ctrl-C in VidCap32 produced green screen when
  pasted in MSPaint
* Memory leaks
* Single frame capture

Known Issues
==============================================================================
* Full Screen Preview occasionally takes up the majority of CPU resource
* Full size yuv12 has green streaks
* Pixel dropouts with Cirrus CT6320 Graphics adapter
* Audio and Video out of sync during AVI playback
* Windows does not turn on DMA for IDE hard drives, due to legacy disk drives
  not supporting this feature.
* Turning IDE hard disk DMA on, disk transfers are handled without CPU
  involvement, thus enabling the Fusion drivers to provide a much higher
  quality end user experience.
* If DMA is off, disk transfers will consume CPU bandwidth. This bandwidth is
  required for Fusion to provide smooth audio performance. Fusion will
  continue to operate, but there may be times when the audio will appear to
  stutter or loop. Instructions on how to enable hard disk DMA:1. Right click
  on "My Computer", click on "Properties", and select the "Device Manager"
  tab.2. Double click on disk drive, and click on "__IDE Disk Type__".3.
  Either click on the "Properties" tab in the "Device Manager", or double
  click on "__IDE Disk Type__" in the Device Manager.4. Select the
  "Setting" tab, and click the DMA checkbox.5. Click on OK.

Notes
==============================================================================
* An external compression API has been added to extend the range of video
  format. (See programmer's guide for details.)
* Primary surface mode closed captioning support has been discontinued.
* YUY2 support has been tested using the Intel Indeo YUY2 CODEC. Other
  manufacturers CODECs may appear upside down. (See programmer's guide for
  further details.)

Instructions to Enable Digital Audio
==============================================================================
